Who we are

Camera Kings (camerakings.co.uk) is a UK price-comparison and review site for cameras. For any privacy question, email hello@camerakings.co.uk.

What we collect, and why

• Price alerts. If you set a price alert, we store your email address, the product and your target price, so we can email you when it is met. The legal basis is your consent. The alert closes itself once sent, and every email carries a one-click unsubscribe link. We never share or sell your address.
• Clicks to retailers. When you follow a link to a retailer, we record which product and retailer, the time, and the page you came from. We use it to see which products are useful and to spot automated traffic. It does not identify you.
• Server logs. Our web server keeps standard technical logs — IP address, browser type, pages requested, time — for security and troubleshooting.

We have no accounts and no checkout, so we never see names, postal addresses or payment details.

Cookies

Camera Kings sets no cookies of its own, and runs no advertising or analytics cookies.

When you click through to a retailer, that retailer or its affiliate network sets its own cookie to credit the referral. Those cookies are governed by the retailer’s and network’s privacy policies.

Third parties that see your requests

• Google Fonts supplies the typefaces on this site, so Google receives your IP address and browser details when a page loads.
• Retailers, once you choose to click through to them.

Product photographs are resized and served from our own server, so retailers do not see your visit until you click through.

How long we keep it

• Price alerts: until the alert is sent or you unsubscribe, then the address is no longer used.
• Click records: kept to measure long-term trends; they contain no personal identifiers.
• Server logs: a short period, then discarded.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask what data we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, withdraw consent, and complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk). Email hello@camerakings.co.uk and we will respond within one month.
