Buy now, or wait?

Every other site tells you where a camera is cheapest. We record every price, every day, so we can tell you whether today is actually a good day to buy it.

Buy now 9 at the lowest price we have seen Good price 5 within 5% of their lowest Fair price 22 at a typical price Wait 7 priced high right now Steady 45 flat — no point waiting

How the signal works

Once a day we record the lowest price for every product across every retailer we track. The signal compares today’s price with that history:

  • Buy now — at, or within 1% of, the lowest price we have recorded.
  • Good price — within 5% of the lowest.
  • Wait — 5% or more above the typical price, or it has gone up in the past week.
  • Steady — the price has barely moved, so waiting is unlikely to save you anything.
  • Tracking — fewer than 10 days of data, so we do not give an opinion yet.

It is a guide based on past prices, not a prediction — retailers can change prices at any time. Always check the final price on the retailer’s site.
