The TZ100 trades zoom range for a much larger sensor. If you have been disappointed by compact camera image quality, this is the model that fixes it.

Why does a 1-inch sensor matter?
It is several times the area of a typical compact camera sensor, so it gathers much more light. That means cleaner images indoors and at dusk, better dynamic range, and more attractive background blur.
TZ100 or TZ90?
The TZ90 has more zoom and a flip screen for less money; the TZ100 has a much better sensor. If you shoot in varied light and care about quality, the TZ100 is the one.
Is 20x zoom enough for travel?
For most people, comfortably. It covers wide landscapes through to distant detail. Only serious wildlife and sports shooting really demands more.
